The Altar Guild is a group of dedicated men and women who take responsibility for caring for the sanctuary of St. Mary Church. Members have weekly responsibilities that may consist of taking care of the Altar cloth, putting out the weekly Bulletins, changing the missalettes, and adorning the sanctuary with flowers. The Guild usually meets twice a year in preparation for the Christmas and Easter seasons. It is the Easter season especially, that commands a great deal of attention to fine detail. Men and women are always encouraged to join the Guild. All new members receive a training session and a rotating schedule is mailed to everyone. Caring for the Altar of the Lord is a great way to express thanks for the good things He has done for us.
